GMC's Take on the Compact SUV
The compact SUV class is one of the most competitive in the auto market sector. Buyers deserve to know they're getting an SUV that delivers on multiple fronts, and the GMC Terrain is a great choice. The most efficient option averages 29 mpg in highway driving. You also get a 1.5-liter engine that peaks at over 200 lb-ft of torque and 1,500 lbs of towing capacity. Available as a front- or all-wheel drive, the GMC Terrain is a confident vehicle. Roof rails provide up-top storage and the rear cargo bay measures nearly 30 cubic feet. The new GMC Terrain is a two-row SUV with space for as many as five people.
The base version of the Terrain comes with keyless entry, a driver assistance package, heated side mirrors and rear privacy glass. It also includes a large infotainment screen that powers a system that's interoperable with your phone via Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. For a small upgrade, you can add a second climate zone, a remote starter, a hands-free power liftgate, fog lights, heated front seats and leather upholstery.
The luxury option for the GMC Terrain, the Denali, includes a Bose sound system, front and rear parking sensors, navigation, a wireless device charging pad and a heads-up display. You also get a premium suspension.
GMC also builds an off-road version, the Terrain AT4. The AT4 includes skid plates and traction selection.
